Lot’s of art deco style in the labelling of this champagne produced by the Bonnaire-Clouet family. As Clouet is the maiden name of the mother of the family, they now operate two brand names: Champagne Paul Clouet and Champagne Bonnaire.
The Champagne Paul Clouet, vintage 2008 that we tasted on the boat was an exceptional wine. 2008 is widely regarded as the greatest vintage at least of the decade, which contributes to the ageing potential and now, 8 years on, this wine is still very youthful, full of freshness and as meditative as it is ready to party!
All the grapes in the Champagne Paul Clouet come from Bouzy and provide a very decent insight into what this village is famous for.
